YAY! We are in the iTunes Podcast directory. Search for “Old-computer” in the iTunes store, or hit up the big link that says “ADD TO ITUNES” on the sidebar…
Edit: I wrote “we are not in the itunes” instead of “we are in the itunes”. Another reason to not write blog posts at 2 in the morning…
Here it is, folks. Our first glorious, completely-perfect episode. Not. Filled with plenty of mistakes, and slightly unorginized, I present to you the first episode of the Old-Computer Podcast.
In this episode:
Enjoy!

BTW, for the record: Jeff hates his voice…

Well, there’s no way to do a podcast w/o a mic… Right? Anyways, in the trend of the past couple of days, I got some more gear in today. The first thing I got were some cables required to temporarily hook up the board to my computer to record the ‘cast. I do plan on getting a multi-track fireware recorder like the Firepod or the Delta 1010, but for the podcast’s first episodes, this solution should work fine. The last thing I got today was a microphone. This microphone isn’t mine to keep, I’m borrowing it temporarily, because it never gets used (pray that it works…
). The microphone is one that was used by Elvis in the 70’s, and is pretty high quality for spoken word, I hear. Well, without further adieu, the microphone is…
Well, I have a little more gear that I didn’t post about yesterday. I bought this gear last summer off ebay. Anyways, this Gear is a M-Audio AudioBuddy Microphone Preamp. I paid about $40 for it. I really don’t need it anymore, but maybe it will come in handy…

Well, I’m sure not gonna record a podcast w/o some sound/audio gear, am I? No.
So now, I present to you my first piece of gear (although its purpose is not only for the podcast, that is the main reason I got it): An Allen & Heath Scepter Rack! Although it may be pretty old, its got great sound quality and enough channels to run a small radio station. I got it for free from my local church, I’m the head of the Audio department, and we recently upgraded to a Soundcraft GB-8. Guess who got first dibs…
Anyone wanna donate a mic?

Well, welcome to the old-computer podcast website (thanks for the hosting, Andy!). Anyways, this site is a child site of http://old-computer.org, created just for our podcast. Sorry for the rough-around-the-edges look, we’re still under construction. Expect our first podcast sometime in the next week.
